  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup chopped dates

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions
  1. Beat egg whites until stiff, add salt.
  2. Add sifted sugar (very slowly)
  3. Add vanilla
  4. Fold in nuts and dates.
  5. Place on lightly buttered cookie sheet (drop from the tip of a spoon.)
  6. Bake at 275 degrees for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove from pan while hot.

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup white Karo
  • 3 squares Chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
  1. Cut chocolate into small pieces in large pan.
  2. Add sugar, butter, syrup, salt, and cream.
  3. Cover, boil 5 minutes.
  4. Uncover, boil slowly, stirring constantly to firm ball stage 248 degrees.
  5. Remove from heat, add vanilla.
  6. Pour in 2 buttered pie dishes.
  7. Leave overnight.
  8. May add nuts in bottom of dishes.
  9. Roll in different shapes or cut in squares.

  • 2 cups packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 8 quarts popped corn - do not air pop

  • 1 cup margarine
  • 2 cups packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 8 quarts popped corn - do not air pop
Instructions
  1. Melt margarine in 2-quart saucepan.
  2. Add brown sugar, salt, corn syrup, and water. Heat to boiling.
  3. Boil for 5 minutes, watching carefully so doesn’t boil over.
  4. Remove from heat to add soda.
  5. Stir well.
  6. Pour over popped corn, stir until well coated.
  7. Place on 2 cookie sheets and bake at 250 degrees, for 40 minutes. Stirring occasionally.
  8. Bake both batches at the same time. (upper and lower rack).
  9. Take off cookie sheets immediately after removing from oven.

  2. Add eggs, vanilla and orange peel
  3. Add dry ingredients
  4. Add chocolate chips and mix in by hand
  5. Drop by teaspoon full onto cookie sheet and bake at 350

Instructions
  1. Bring to a boil and boil slowly for 20 minutes
  2. Then turn up heat for five minutes
  3. Let it boil until light amber color
  4. Add 1 Tablespoon butter
  5. 1 teaspoon soda
  6. Stir well and pour onto ungreased cookie sheet
  7. Cool
  8. Break into serving pieces using the butt end of butter knife.
