- 2 cup flour
- 1 Tablespoon Ginger
- 2 teaspoons soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup molasses
- Granulated sugar to roll dough in

Instructions
- Cream sugar and shortening.
- Beat in eggs and molasses.
- Add dry ingredients.
- Roll into balls, dip in sugar.
- Bake on ungreased pan 350 degrees 12 to 15 minutes
