  • 1/2 cup water or up to 1/4more

Instructions
  1. Filling
  2. Combine ingredients and cook over low heat until soft and blended.
  3. Cool before spreading on rolled out dough.
  4. Dough
  5. Cream butter and sugar, beat in eggs
  6. Sift dry ingredients and add gradually to creamed mixture.
  7. Chill
  8. Roll out thin, oblong shape
  9. Spread date mixture, roll the oblong dough and cover in waxed paper.
  10. Chill the roll overnight.
  11. Slice into cookies. Place on cookie sheet, bake 350 degrees 12-15 minutes.
