- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening or butter
- 2 egg yolks beaten
- 2 cup square melted chocolate or 1/2cocoa
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup nuts
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 beaten egg whites

- Cream butter and sugar
- Add chocolate and egg yolks
- Add milk, and flour alternately
- Add vanilla and nuts
- Fold in egg whites
- Bake 350 in oblong pan 30 minutes
