Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 3 cup Quick oatmeal
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions
- Cream sugar, shortening, and eggs.
- Mix in flour, then add oatmeal
- Mold in long rolls and wrap in waxed paper
- Chill in refrigerator
- Heat oven to 400 degrees.
- Slice dough thin and place on ungreased cookie sheet
- Bake until light brown
