Parker House Rolls (Debbies Buns)

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Milk can use 1/2evaporated milk and 1/2water
  • 5 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 package cake Yeast
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 5-6 cups flour
  • 6 tablespoon vegetable oil

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Milk can use 1/2evaporated milk and 1/2water
  • 5 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 package cake Yeast
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 5-6 cups flour
  • 6 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
  1. Scald milk, add sugar and salt, cool to lukewarm.
  2. Dissolve yeast in warm water and add to milk.
  3. Add 3 cups flour and beat until smooth.
  4. Add oil and remaining flour, or enough to make an easily handled dough.
  5. Knead well.
  6. Let rise until double in bulk (1 ½ hour)
  7. Pinch off a piece of dough and form into round ball. Place smooth side up in a well greased pan.
  8. Let rise about 1 hour
  9. Bake at 350 degrees.
  10. OR
  11. Roll out 3/8” thick and cut with biscuit cutter.
  12. Crease heavily in the center with a dull knife,
  13. brush with butter,
  14. fold over and place close together in a shallow pan – cover.
  15. Let rise 1 hour – Bake 350 degrees for 20 minutes
