Ingredients

cup
Milk
can use 1/2evaporated milk and 1/2water

tablespoon
sugar

tablespoon
Salt
1
package
cake Yeast
1
cup
lukewarm water
5-6
cups
flour

tablespoon
vegetable oil
Instructions
Scald milk, add sugar and salt, cool to lukewarm.
Dissolve yeast in warm water and add to milk.
Add 3 cups flour and beat until smooth.
Add oil and remaining flour, or enough to make an easily handled dough.
Knead well.
Let rise until double in bulk (1 ½ hour)
Pinch off a piece of dough and form into round ball. Place smooth side up in a well greased pan.
Let rise about 1 hour
Bake at 350 degrees.
OR
Roll out 3/8” thick and cut with biscuit cutter.
Crease heavily in the center with a dull knife,
brush with butter,
fold over and place close together in a shallow pan – cover.
Let rise 1 hour – Bake 350 degrees for 20 minutes
