Sour Cream Chocolate Cake

  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 3 squares chocolate
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon oleo
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 eggs well-beaten

  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon oleo
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 eggs well-beaten
Instructions
  1. Melt chocolate in double boiler, add boiling water to chocolate and cook 3 minutes. Cool.
  2. Cream butter and sugar.
  3. Add chocolate and stir until well blended.
  4. Sift flour, measure and sift in soda and salt.
  5. Add dry ingredients alternately with cream – flavoring.
  6. Bake in two round pans 20 minutes
