Ingredients
- 1 package yeast
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 2 cup scalded milk
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 4 servings of Instant mashed potatoes
- 2 beaten eggs
- 5 1/2 - 6 cup flour
- Can substitute 2 cups leftover mashed potatoes and 1 cup milk

Instructions
- Soften yeast in warm water, add sugar, shortening, eggs, and 1 cup flour, milk and mashed potatoes and salt. Beat until smooth.
- Let cool to lukewarm and add yeast and mix well. Add enough flour to make a soft dough.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight (or can let rise normally) punch down and let stand at room temperature. ___ minutes.
- Roll 1/2-inch thick.
- Cut with donut cutter
- Arrange on floured cookie sheet and let rise.
- Fry in 375 degree fat
- Drain
- Glaze with icing.
