Ingredients

package yeast

sugar

Salt

scalded milk
1/2

warm water
1/2

shortening

servings of Instant mashed potatoes

beaten eggs
5 1/2 – 6

flour
Can substitute 2 cups leftover mashed potatoes and 1 cup milk
Instructions
Soften yeast in warm water, add sugar, shortening, eggs, and 1 cup flour, milk and mashed potatoes and salt. Beat until smooth.
Let cool to lukewarm and add yeast and mix well. Add enough flour to make a soft dough.
Cover and refrigerate overnight (or can let rise normally) punch down and let stand at room temperature. ___ minutes.
Roll 1/2-inch thick.
Cut with donut cutter
Arrange on floured cookie sheet and let rise.
Fry in 375 degree fat
Drain
Glaze with icing.
